Commission has asked for
assistance in finding a new
home for this gable-ell cottage
now at 2204 Routh Street in the
State-Thomas Historic District. .
The structure is free, but must -
be moved. For information

The Landmark Commission is also looking for volunteers to work with various task forces that
help to designate historic buildings and review certificates of appropriateness. If you would like to
actively participate in the city's preservation efforts, call Jim Anderson at 670-4131.
DALLAS COUNTY SESQUICENTENNIAL
The new date for the opening event for the Dallas County Sesquicentennial is Saturday, April
20th. The festivities will center around the Old Red Courthouse and will include a parade, exhibits by
historical organizations, a cattle drive, food, entertainment and other fun. Lindalyn Adams is chair of
the opening event and welcomes volunteers to help prior to and during the celebration.
