years ta Sen Antmdo and Ce-
nt anc ha, handling cases all over
the Western part of the State
ta District Court, Court of
aril Appeals. Court of Crim-
inal Appeals and the Supreme
Court.
Comanche County is entitled
to be represented in our Dist-
rict Court. Our County has not
had a District Court officer in
fourtMtt years.
My: opponent ha- been paid
by the tax payers of this
District approximately $84,000
during his eleven years of con-
tinuous office holding in our
District Court.
A CHANGE CANT HURT.
I am opposed to the whole-
sale dismissing of cases after
the grand jury has returned
indictments that cost the tax
payers $25.00 for each indict-
ment. Indict in cases where
a trial is justified and try
the cases when indictments are
returned.
I nm opposed to the practice
of allowing hardened criminals
to enter pleas of guilty and
take concurrent sentences which
amount to n dismissal of the
charges sgsinst them. These
sentences should run consecu-
tively so sack characters will
stay ta the penitentiary er the
county be spared the expense
of their indictment and trial
If elected it shall be my
policy to make immediate in-
vestigations in felony cases so
that evidence will be avatlable
when the grand Jury convenes,
thus saving the grand jury
time and the tax payers money,

I believe that the jurors of
this county want the law en-
forced and that if caaes are
properly put before them, they
will convict. If elected, I pledge
you my best efforts to make
the property of honest citi-

thieves and burglars who work
while honest toilers sleep.
At the solicitation of friends in

have practiced law in many of
the courts in adjoining counties.
In my practice in San Antonio
and DeLeon I have practiced in
, the District courts of Abilene,
Lainesa, Baird, Dallas, Fort Worth
i Sherman, Waco, Edenburg and
jother points in the Rio Grande
(Valley, and my cases in these
! courts have given me wide exper-
ience practice in the courts
of Civil Appeals, in the Court
of Criminal Appeals and in the
district, which I believe should
be diligently looked hito, and
that is flagarant violations of the
Anti-Trust laws. There has been
coined by the big trusts in this
Supreme Court.
