PEOPLE ADVISED
TO TAKE CARE
RATION BOOK 4
Housewives were advised today by
it. Q. Brown, chairman of the Food
Panel of the Panola County War
Price and Rationing Board, to take
good care of War Ration Book Four
and to kawpWar Ration Book Thre*
In a safe place.
For the firat time since rationing
began a year ago. all buying of ra-
tioned food* la now done from one
ration book—Rook Four—and that
book will be iu use about thre'-
times as long aa earlier food booka.
tbe chairman aaid.
With ordinary care, the ration
booka will laat without giving trouble
If the yare abused, they will wear
out rapidly. Just aa any other book.
Application are received frequent-
ly by the local War Price and Ration-
ing Board from persona who want
their ration booka replaced for var-
ious reasons. Borne have been lost,
others damaged by fire or water,
while aome have fallen into chil-
dren’s hands with disastrous results,
said Mr. Brown.
8lnce no more ration books arc to
he printed soon, tbe replacement of
damaged or lost books may become
increasingly difficult. The longer life
of War Ration Book Four is made
possible by the use of 10-potnt
stamps and tokens under tbe pro-
gram which began February 27.
Although since March 20, when the
last of the brown meats-fats stamps
ran out, War Ration Book Three has
not been used for food buying,
housewives must keep the book, since
it contains airplane stamt 1 now good
ror shoes, and since probably will
continue to be used for shoe ration-
ing. In addition, occasional uses may
be found for other stamps in Book
Three, the chairman advised.

Dent get Ike idea that “Admiration Coffee mokes you
thin." It's a wonderful blend of choice, expensive coffees,
Ml of flavor, and a delight to drink. Sul it's a drink—

This is most important, for
yon can thereby control yonr
caring and progress. Quick
loss of weight, authorities
is not healthy. Grad-
ual loss is better. It’s the least
bothersome too. An occa-
sional cup of Admiration in
plan of an in-between meal
snack is ideal, for it satisfies
the desire for food, yet sup-
plies practically no weight-
building food values.

To be sue. Many authorities
maintain most excessive weight
comes from over-earing. Ad-
miration Coffee drank with
your meals will increase the
flow of gastric juices in the
stomach, thus facilitating better
digestion. Its energy-giving
goodness also will give you a
quick satisfaction, re-
ducing the desire for a
large amount of food.

Recreation is good for the spirit
as well as the body. When people
have little else to think of or do—
they eat. And in weight reduction
the idea is to stay away from food
as much as possible. Thus as you
pause in your recreation and oth-
ers suggest food—make yours a
cup of Admiration Coffee. Its fla-
vor and aroma will give you as
much enjoyment as food gives
others.
