Dear Double Oak Residents, Town Employees and Volunteers:
During the Holiday Season more than ever, our thoughts turn
gratefully to those who have made our progress possible.
One of the real joys of the season is the opportunity to say Thank
You. Double Oak residents, employees and volunteers make this a
very special place to live and to raise a family through their acts
of kindness, professionalism and volunteering.
The town is also very grateful to all the men and women who
proudly serve in our military.
The Double Oak Town Council wishes all Double Oak residents,
employees, volunteers and neighbors in adjoining towns and
communities a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Thank you & God Bless
Mayor Mike Donnelly and the Double Oak Town Council
Happy New Year!
ARGYLE
The following is a summary of incident reports
recently made to the Argyle Police Department
as compiled by the staff of the CTG:
A woman in the 1700 block of FM 407 E said that
a Hispanic man in his mid-20’s jumped over her
fence and told her that he was looking for work.
She told him to leave and he complied. Police
were unable to locate the man.
At least two men burglarized a model home and
a house under construction in the 400 block of
Village Way, making off with $4,000 worth of ap-
pliances and electronics.
An officer on radar duty observed a pickup truck
driving slowly down the street and the driver tak-
ing pictures of houses on Harpole Rd. E and
Denton St. Upon questioning, the man said
he worked for an appraisal company and pos-
sessed paperwork backing up his statement.
A caller requested that an officer come to his
house before Halloween so he could take re-
alistic pictures for his homemade crime scene.
The officer informed the man that he would need
approval from a supervisor to participate. The
caller said that he would contact Chief Tackett.
