DAD’S BARBECUED CHICKEN
1 quick-frozen frying % cup salted water —
chicken, partly thawed Barbecue Sauce
Thaw chicken Just enouglj to separate the pieces. Add to
salted water in skillet and cover. Simmer 15 minutes, turning
once. Remove chicken to bowl or glass dish. Allow to cool slightly. ,
Then pour barbecue sauce over chicken, cover, and allow to
marinate a few hours, or until ready to barbecue. (Keep in
refrigerator.)
To barbecue, arrange chicken, skin aide down, on greased
grill over glowing coals. Baste with barbecue sauce. Barbecue
until tender—about 15 to 25 minutes, frequently turning the >
chicken and basting with the sauce.'Serve with remaining sauce.
Makes 4 servings.
