POINTED PERSONALS
By Prexy Anderson
From down Daniel Baker way
comes tho slogan "Convert Those
Christians." Too bad Mr. Prentice
Coach Morris has already beat you
to tho job and converted them into
Wildcats. And by the timo this pa
per reaches its readers let's hopo
tbnt wo may havo "Got those or
their goats."
Going Out of Business
Sweeping Reductions on Our Entire Stock
"Tho Uncovered Wagon" dropped
anchor in Abil&a again Tuesday
morning thus completing its second
very eventful voyage.. Going down
to Waxahachie it ran into one of
theso fogs you read and hear about
but can't see and as a result tho
driver allowed it to run head first
off a bluff across a creek or two
and a railroad coming- to n halt in
an upright position. All of which
caused Joo Bailey Toombs to wish
in vain that wo had a football player
as good in a broken field as tho flivn
ver was.
We- understand that tho return trip
of the Wagon was accompanied by
no small amount of trouble greatly
to the displeasure of its owner. As a
result he made tho rash vow that if
ho over reached A. C. C. again hq
would never leave except on a train
and as Mr Morris 1b a man of his
word ho has parted for a paltry sum
with what seemed in a fair way to
become one of the great institutions
of the school.
Evidently our beloved heroes of tho
gridiron havo been practicing long
and laboriously this week. Just be-
foro tho close of practice Monday af-
ternoon Coach told all the men to bo
in bed by ten o'clock a short time
after which Red Williams was heard
to- remark that they might if they
got through eating in time. Como to
think of it though that may have
been a .reflection cast by Red upon
tho appetites of some of his teaim
mates.
Ifs- a pity the way a fellow will
look down on things he was formerly
associated with after he gets a high
er standing. Maybe you think Earl
Brown isn't getting- high-powered.
The other night Cooper and Colley
were conversing by tha Morso code
or something by kicking on tho wall
between their rooms- Same finally
.cams to tho attention of Mr. Brown;
who came up on third and belittled
that honorable dwelling which so
many of us have been pleased to
call home in the past by demanding-
"What do. yon. fellows think this is
anyhow a mule barn If"
