BREAKING OUT WOULD
ITCH AND BURN |
_ I
Bellton. Ga.—“Some time ago my
feet and ears were frost bitten, which ;
troubled me very much every winter.
My ears would turn red and swell, j
with terrible itching and my heel
would crack. I had a severe scalp |
trouble and also a breaking out on my ;
wrists and hands which would itch
and burn until I could not sleep of
rights. There was an eruption on
my scalp with dandruff. I had to keep
my hair clipped close to keep down
the irritation and itching. I tried sev-
eral remedies and cream and two
treatments of-remedies which did
me no good. Then I used Cut!
Soap and Ointment and I am
cured of all my troubles.” (Signed)'

Hard Fighting.
Belgrade: The Turkish fortress of
Monastlr surrendered to the Servian
troops. Fifty thousand Turkish sol-
diers and three Generals laid down J
their arms.
Monastir virtually had been sur- I
rounded by Servian troops for several
days, while Greek troops coming from i
the south had cut off the Turkish line
of retreat to Ochida. On Saturday the
Servian troops, after desperate fight- !
Ing throughout the day and night, cap- I
tured two important heights command-
ing the city. They then advanced j
through the morasses upon the inner j
fortifications, which surrendered.
Monastlr was the headquarters of
the Sixth Turkish Army Corps, com-
manded by Fethi Pasha, but many oth- j
er Turkish troops, fleeing from sur- j
rounding towns which had been cap-
tured by the Servians, concentrated ]
there. Djavid Tasha, the commander
it the Seventh Turkish Army Corps, j
went there with many of hi3 soldiers j

Calumet Ends “Bad Luck.”
Remember when you were a youngster,
what a trial baking day was? If Mother
was lucky, everything went finely—but if
she had "bad luck” her cakes and her
pies and her bread were failures. Her
success in baking seemed to depend al-
most altogether on “luck.”
Nowadays there's no such thing as
"baKing luck.” At least, not In the kitch-
ens of the up-to-date cooks. Simply be-
cause Calumet Baking Powder has smash-
ed that old time Idea. It has made bak-
ing sure of success. It has made Inex-
perienced cooks able to bake perfectly,
and day after day It Is saving hundreds
of dollars’ worth of time and materials by
doing away with costly faltures.
Calumet Baking Powder Is the purest
baking powder made—and guaranteed not
only to BE pure, but to stay pure In the
CAN and In the BAKING. Calumet has
twice been officially judged the BEST
baking powder made—receiving the high-
est awards at the World's Pure Pood Ex-
positions in Chicago (1307) and In Paris
