In the best game ever witnessed by funs In Bennett gym Coach Morris'
ctball Wildcats outfought and outplayed the Daniel Baker Hill Willed

irious season. Putting up a fight in which th0 wholo team figured

Hill Billies Rally
.Coming back the second half the
Billies rallied to overtake the Cats
with the scoro of 24 to 23. Then to
make the game look oven gloomier
for tho Wildcats Lefty Reynolds star
of tho Mc&turry game knocked his
breath out by colliding with a Baker
player. But Hill who substituted for
Reynolds' rovived tho spirits of tho
tonm by his fight and by his six
points at opportune times probably
saved tho gamo for tho Cats
The Billies relinquished their lead
ob the Cats thundered on ahead again
with Pippen and Hill ringing up long
tosses and Watkins ono closo up.
Then Watkins put ono in over his
head. But Daniel Baker came back
ono more tlm0 with Wise sinking a
couple of field goals and the score
nirain favored tho Brownwood five
"-' 33 to 32. Hill sunk Tils second field
li- f goal but the Billies took a freo toss
and another field goal.
Hill Scores Last
A freo toss and then Hill sunk h'.s
second field goal but tho Billies fired
back with another field goal and tho
scoro was tied 35-all. Tho game was
fast drawing to a closo with tho game
going at a terrific pace and both sides
hustling. Then Hill dropped in tho
field goal that run tho total scoro of
A. C. & to 37 points. The Billies
' rested for a moment and came back to
get one free tosB which they made for
their acupoints. A long toss left n
" Billy hand just as tho gun fired it hit
tho basket but" bounded away leaving
tho game for tho Cats at a one point
margin.
Although quite a few bad passes
were made by- the Cats they played
by far the -beat brand of basketball of
the season on their homo court Sat-
urday night. Every man was hustling
and fighting tho wholo gnme and
every Wildcat" on tho court rang up at
least onb point. Tho combination at
center worked nearly every time with
Watkins getting the tip-off thus giv-
ing tho Cats first offensive attempts
most of the gnme. Tho Wildcats lost
Ultlo timo In crettinc back on the do-
fense as a result Daniel Baker mode
only ono or two crips. Although the
Cats found the Billy man-to-mun de-1
fense hard to penetrate they wero
much more successful than tho Billies
on tho offenso.

Wasn't that somo game Saturday
night Thoso Wildcats proved to bo
real Wildcats by fighting all the
gamo. When Lenon Hill replnccd
Charles Reynolds late in tho gamo tho
fray had been void of outstanding men
then when tho going became tough
Lcnnon rushed to rescue sinking tho
winning goal from just back of the
freo throw lino. That was Lennon's
first big chance this year and I will
say ho woro tho brightest colors.
Four of the basketball men reported
for track Monday. They wcro Powell

Watkins elongated leaper' from Holi-

were "Fire-Wagon" Wortham and

will be sorely missed by the Wildcats
next year. May luck and success be
with them in future life and tholr
cycles of life bring them often to the

Do you know why a pep squad was
organized in A. C. C. ? Do you know

The following year in 1928 was the
