Chatter and din,
They seemed to Bay,

Those who attended the organ re
citul last night at the First Christian
church were well paid for the time
spent there. John Alien R'chaid*.uli,
who was born nra, J1 Pleas ut, L x-

life in Texarkana, hut ho i-< now «r-
gi.nist of St. Paul’s Episcopal church
Chicago, delighted an audience of
Bmihum muaic lovers with his charm-
ii ,j rendition of several selections ar-
ranged for that grand instrument-
tbe embodiment ntf nearly uII of the
instruments, the pipe organ. Miss
Bernice Carleton of this city, who is
fur above the average amateur violin-
ist, pleased the audience with two se-
lections, Mr. Richardson playing her
accompaniment*. Miss Reeves, who is
thj musical director of the Bonhum
schools, although not on programme,
was gracious enough to sing two
songs, and each and every number mot

DODD CITY REVIVAL

A BRIEF RESUME OF THE SER-
VICES HELD AND WHAT \\ \s
ACCOMPLISHED.
On Sunday night, Oct. 24th, we
iloxed our protracted meeting. It was
successful in a measure as a revival,
bit not in the extended sjnsc we had
wished. However, we e, old not ex-
pect more thun meager results for
the time we continued.
The preaching by Dr. Barcus was
up to the highest demand. Our con-
gregations increased from beginning
U close. So it was with the preach-
ing. Saturday night's discourse was
one of the most appropriate and in
cisive sermons we ever heard. The
pastor preached Sunday morning anil
evening and closed with fine spirit in
the congregation.
I will preuch at Dodd City next
Sunday evening at 7 o’clock.
Thos. G. Whitten, Pastor.
