by which Barbara and Loyd Wil
liams obtain their knowlcdgo of
both facts and persons.
This pair of happy newlyweds
comes to ACC from the Austin
State School for the Deaf which
they each attended several years.
Alcdo Texas was Barbara's ori-
ginal home but she has lived in
Austin for the last 12 years. Loyd
was born at Fairbanks near Hous
ton where he has lived over since.
It was Loyd's brothers who as-
sisted him in learning to talk. He
would talk to them and they
would correct him when he mis-
pronounced a word.
When asked of their opinion of
ACC Barbara and Loyd replied
"We think it is the most wonder-
ful place for any Christian."
Loyd has chosen to make Bible
his major and Christian Education
his minor. After he finishes his
work here ho plans to return to
Austin to preach and teach the
gospel to the deaf.
Barbara is a typist in the ACC
development officcShc finds the
work to be quite interesting and
her co-workers tell us of the very
efficient work that she is doing.
Art and flowers arc Barbara's
hobbles and she likes some sports.
Reading hunting and fishing are
Loyd's chief interests while foot-
ball and softball occupy top posi-
tions in the sports bracket.
To all who are eager to know
how they rnay help Barbara and
Loyd they say "You can help us
most of 'ill by remaining the won-
derful people you arc." They are
willing also to (each the sign lan-
guage to anyone who is interested
in intcrpretating sermons chapel
