Rasco's job simplified
Students can no longer obtain degree
plans from the registrar's office
because of o new bookkeeping system.
Beginning this fall students may ob-
tain their degree plans from the
department of their major.
Each department uses a computer to
compare a student's course record to
his list of required courses. The stu-
dent then receives a copy of his degree
plan(
Dr. C.G. Gray said the use of the
computer to provide degree plans Is a

machine does a mundane and time
consuming job faster than a human.
Rasco served as registrar for 35 years
and had been responsible for giving
students copies of their degree plans.
Rasco said he "just started doing
degree plans" because of his close
association with Walter H. Adams
dean emeritus in the early 19508.
Rasco was able to relinquish the job
this year when each department was

Rasco is now academic adviser to all
undecided majors and Dr. Don Staf-
ford is the new registrar.
Previously undecided majors were
arbitrarily assigned to various faculty
members. Now advising this
semester's 200 undecided majors is
Rasco's responsiblity.
