ASTRONOMY CLASS MAKES
OBSERVATIONS.
The class In Astronomy met at tho
home of Dr. Olson on Tuesday evening
to observe several heavenly bodies
through a telescope. Dr. Olsen set
the Instrument so -that we could ob-
serve tho moon. Then' each took Mp
turn looking " at it observing the
roughness mountains crators and
other markings. Next wo saw Jupltor
and three of its seven satellites. Ju-
pter Is covered' with a variety of mark..

seen with a tolescop'o the principal
feature being three broad parallel
belts tho central one being white and
larger than the other two which wero
dark. Lastly we olsorved several
titars tho principal one being tho

could not see It The stars wore in-
deed beautiful exhibiting many colors.

Spent Sunday November 26 at Cen-
ter lino a small country church nlno
miles northeast of Abilene.
In tho afternoon evangelical work'
was don'o among tho young people of
that place. In' a gojieral way tho band
talked to them of a spirit-filled life
