"The inmates hate a four-

Lunday said. "They respect a
genuine person .... someone who
stands for something and will
stick to it" he added.
Lunday said that the men are
very concerned with the attitude
of society toward them after they
are released from prison. "They
want to know if society will ac
cept them as having paid their
debt or whether society will say
'there goes a marked man'" he
said.
Lunday said that two men have
attended H-SU after being re-
leased from prison. "One had

of them made fine preachers'" he
said.
Lunday summarized his report
by saying that there are four areas
of responsibility to the youth of
our nation the home the school
the church and the community.
He said that too often the home
fails and turns the youth over to
the school.
"The school has a great respon-
sibility but they like to turn the
youth over to the church. The
favorite method of the church is
to encourage the youth to return
to his home" he said.
"The burden is then placed on
the community which says that it
is not their responsibility" he
stated.
He concluded that all too often
the youth is turned over to the
judge who places the entire bur-
den on our corrective institutions.
"'Instead of correcting the youth
the institutions are just another
step in the youth's highway to
crime" he said.
