Team Will Probably Be Put in
This Week—Good Men
To Be Signed
That Bonham is to have a first-
class base ball team is uow an as-
sured fact. Players for the team
will commence to arrive this week
and by next week wjll be ready
for business with any of the fast
teams throughout the State. Some
of the men signed are known here
and are good ones. Among the
uumber is Tom Rayburn of Win
dom, L. Gardner of Sherman, Col
gate, who played with the fast Aus-
tin College bunch, and Fulton, an-
other college man. Rayburn and
Gardner are both pitchers and good
ones, too. A fast catcher will be
needed and negotiations are now
pending for the services of a
crack a jack. An infielder from
Tennessee will likely be signed and
oue or two other outside men. Lo
cal talent will oe used in one of
the outfield and infield positions.
Bob Beasley will play the third
corner and Jack Russell either the
outfield or second base. They are
known to be good oues and can lie
depended ou at all times.
(tames will likely be matched
for next week with some of the
many good clubs now playing in
this part of the State. Honey
