The summer term of school at
Pecan Gap will begin Monday,
which the work is to be perform-
ed, and the Contractor shall pay
not less than these wage rates as
shown in the proposal for each
craft or type of laborer, workman
or mechanic employed on this
project.
Legal holiday work shall be
paid for at the regular govern-
ing rates.
Plans and specifications avail-
able at the office of H. H. Short,
Resident Engineer, Cooper, Tex-
as, and Texas Highway Depart-
ment, Austin. Usual rights re-
served.
BAPTIST REVIVAL SERVICES
A series of revival services will
begin at the Calvary Baptist
Church of Cooper Sunday, July
13. Rev. H. O. Moore of Carlton
near Dallas, will deliver the
message Sunday night, and Rev
Woodard, supply pastor of the
Cooper church, will bing the
message each night during the
week. The evening services w'Jl
begin about 7:30. This series of
services will run through Sun-
day, July 20.
Judge ami Mrs. Newman Phil-
lips of Cooper have as their guest
this week their daughter, Mrs.
George A. Sullivan of Marshall
Mr. and Mrs. Verdel Thomp-
son of Commerce were guests
Saturday and Sunday of Mr. and
Mrs. J. D. Dunn of Cooper.

tures, Base and Surfacing from
FM 1528 near Cooper, south to
road intersection on Highway No.
FM 1880, covered by R 735-2-1, in
Delta County, will be received
at the Highway Department, Aus-
tin, until 9:00 A. M., July 15, 1952,
and then publicly opened and
read.
This is a “Public Works” Proj-
ect, as defined in House Bill No.
54 of the 43rd Legislature of the
State of Texas and House Bill No.
115 of the 44th Legislature of the
State of Texas, and as such is
subject to the provisions of said
House Bills. No provisions here-
in are intended to be in conflict
v/ith the provisions of said Acts.
In accordance with the provis-
ions of said House Bills, the State
Highway Commission has ascer-
tained and set forth in the pro-
posal the wage rates, for each
craft or type of workman or me-
