Mr. and Mrs. Garrison were
married in Pecan Gap on Octo-
ber 18 1897. and moved to Cot-
tle County in 1919. As a farm-
er in this community. Garrison
served as county commissioner
of Precinct 4 for six years and
has been president of the Fed-
eral Land Bank of Paducah for
20 yeais. He is a member of the j
Paducah Lodge A.F. & A.M. No.
868.
Six daughters and two sons
were born to the union and all
were present for the occasion
except a son, B. D. Garrison of
Houston, and a daughter. Vena
Donovan of San Diego, Califor-
nia.
Children attending were
daughters, Mrs. J. R. Potts of
Lubbock. Mrs. C. B. Nixon of
Muskogee, Okla . Mrs. J. P.
Williams of Wichita Falls. Mrs.
Jim Roark and Mrs. R. C. And-
erso of Paducah; and a son. H.
L. Garrison of Paducah.
Mr. Garrison is a brother of
the late A. S. Garrison of Pecan
Gap, and Mrs. Beulah Yeager,
also of Pecan Gap, who attend-
ed the celebration.

The time is almost here for
the opening of this newspaper’s
Big Child Photograph Contest,
and everyone is urged to have
their children ready for the big
day.
A representative of Winston
B. Lucas of Irving, Texas, will
be in Cooper on Tuesday, Nov-
ember 13th, at Hotel Cooper
from 10 a.m. to 5 pm., for the
purpose of taking pictures of
children in this vicinity.
These pictures will be pub
lished in a feature series in the
Cooper Review. Twenty dollar-
n prizes aiv living offered for
the three best photographs made
during the day. First prize will
i,r a $9.50 large bronze portrait.
2nd prize will be a $5 75 Sepia
tone portrait, and third prize
will be a 4.75 portrait picture
The photograph of every ehild
will be published in this new
paper.
The photographs will be made
absolutely free of charge, ami
there is no charge for their pub-
lication in the Cooper Review
Proofs will be shown and
from these a picture will be se-
lected w hich is to appear in thi
newspaper. If extra photograph
are desired, they may be pur-
chased from the studio represen-
tative in a limited number.
This paper wants pictures of
all the youngsters and the
more, the better. So the moth-
ers and fathers should remem-
ber this date--November 13, and
bring their children to the
photographer.
