In discussing tho history of
Texas Tech lootball it will be-
hoove the reader to hurry over

campaigns between the opening
year of the college and the pre
out season. Unfortunately those
five years are written in ternn

Without question the 1025 cam-
paign has been the most agreo-
able for Tech students o discuss.
During the first year of tho col-
lego the football team piled up a
total of 210 points a record that
has hardly been half-way equaled
since. In one game that famous

Second Brownwood Game
Is Plan Now Under
Consideration
Several prospective and rather
attractive records wore blasted
for the Cowhands Saturday when
the Yellow Jackets handed them
the small end of a 20-0 count. In
the first place it was the first
time the Ranchers have had their
goal crossed by a Texas Confer-
ence club. And it also threw
thpm into a deadlock with the
Brownwood boys for supremacy
in the Big Six flag chase.
One conference tilt remains on
fho program for tho Yellow Jack-
ets but it is practically a cinch
hat they will make the knot suf-
ficiently tight when they meet the
Pirates from Southwestern today.
G. B. Sandefer business mana-
ger of athletics early this week
announced that negotiations had
been completed for a post season
game botween the two teams
probably to be played in Brpwn-
wood with undisputed possession
of the championship flag at stake.
The Cowhands have finished
tho'scason in a maze of activity
with four games played in just a
fraction over two weeks and one
of them on foreign soil requiring
a voyage of some two hundred
and twenty miles.
With a sizable rest period be-
fore tho next encounter with the
Yellow Jackets in which to take
training in a leisure fashion a
different story may bo the result.
There will also be time for in-
juries to heal and spirits of ven-
geance to grow both giving the
Cowboys a brighter outlook in
case a wrench doesn't appear in
tho machinery and blot out the
gamo entirely.
