BRYAN’S NOMINATION IS ASSURfD.
As a result of a secret ballot
conducted by the Chicago Trib-
une, that paper announces that
William Jennings Bryan’s nom-
ination to the Denver convention
may now be considered as an as-
sjred fact. The Tribune's state-
ment is the result of the returns
o! dank votes which were sent
throughout the forty-six states
and two organized territories,
which shows Bryan to be the fa-
vorite candidate of 72 per cent of
Democratic* leaders all over the
