Mr. R- C. Hunt,
Iioop, Texas. v
Dear Mr. Hunt:
This is to acknowlege receipt of your favor of recent dale, inquiring
„t me wk&t 1 know ol J. H- (Hub).Ohllt<.n, anti in reply will *ty that
I am pleased to advise yon that I have known this man all his life,
I knew his father and mother before they were married, I knew
his grand-parents and I can gladly say that there is no better man
than Hub Chilton and no better man ever lived than his father, whom
I have known intimately for over 40 pears.
Hub Chilton is a member of one of the outstanding families of the
early pioneers of my home county where I have lived for over 50
years. His father and several brothers resided in Wise county dur-
ing that time. I know them Intimately and knew their value as
good citizens in the community in which they lived. While of course,
I knew Hub only as a boy, yet what I do know about him and the
knowledge I have of his father and his grand-father, and every
member of the Chilton family I cheerfully commend him to you
and to anyone who may be concerned.
Please give my best wishes to him and also his father and assuring
you that it is a pleasure for me to say these few words in the inter-
est of the son of one of the best men it has been my privilege to
know. I am
Very truly yours,
Guinn Williams.
I have known Hub Chilton 16 years and find him to be as reprnen
ed by the Hon. Guinn Williams as stated above and unqualifidly
endorse him to the electorate of Gaines county.
R. C. Hunt.
