end were Mrs. Ida Cochran, Tay-

Mrs. Clyde Bankhead and chil-
dren and Bill Rogers of Mt. Ver-
non.

the weekend with her son,

Mrs. Eutah Chandler and chil-
dren. Mrs. Hollis Slakey, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Slakey were in Dal-
las last Thursday night to at-
tend the wedding of Miss Pa-
tricia Newton and Glen Stubble-

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Slakey and
Mrs. Tom Stubblefield.
Mrs. Hugh Nabors visited Sun-
day in Sulphur Springs with Mrs.
Willie Lee Tennison.
A Revival Meeting will begin
at the Pentecostal Church Au-
gust 29. Rev. L. H. Michael of
Pauls Valley, Okla. will be the
evangelist. Everyone is invited
to attend.
A goou crowd attended singing
at the Pentecostal Church Sun-
day afternoon. The next singing
will be held the first Sunday in
September at the Calvery Bap-
tist Church in Cocper.

of Greenville s^ent the weekend
with Rev. and Mrs. Mark Ma-
lone. Rev. Harris preached at
the Pentecostal Church.

Moore and son of Houston visit-
ed Mr. and Mrs. Paul Slakey
Saturday afternoon.

Vows Exchanged
Miss Mary NoH Morris and
Ray Davis were united in mar-
riage Sunday evening at the
home of the bride’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. D. D. Morris, Cooper.

tor of the First Methodist Church,
performed the ceremony.
Parents of groom are Mr. and
Mrs. L. H. Davis, Commerce.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a dress of blue
lace over taffeta, designed in
the princess style, and a white
lace hat. She carried a white
Bible topped with white carna-
tions and stain bows.
Mrs. Tommie Sharpp, the
bride’s only attendant, wore a
blue sheath dress with white ac-
cessories and a carnation cor-
sage.
John Sands, Commerce, attend-
ed the groom as best man.
Immediately folowing the cere-
mony, a reception was held. The
refreshment table was covered
with a lace cloth over white.

parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Poe.

Mrs. Toney Steward, Cooper,
is a medical patient at the San-
itarium of Paris.
Mrs. H. R. Lusby and son,
Robert, of Shreveport, La. visit-
ed her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.
C. Worley, last weekend.
Don Slough served the three-
tiered wedding cake and frosted
punch.
The couple will make their
home in Dallas where the groom
is employed at the Texas Bank
and Trust Company.
Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Worley and
children, Mike, Pat and Diane,
of Dallas visited his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. W. C. Worley, last week
end.
