Employees of Shell Oil
Company’s Houston
Central Gas Plant at
Sheridan have earned the
distinction of 13 years of
accident-free service
without a lost time in
jury. They were honored
at a steak supper Wed-
nesday night.
A short recognition
program was held,
opened by John But-
schek, plant foreman at
Houston Central plant.
He said this is the best
record ever recorded in
Shell’s on shore division.
The summer program
at the Garwood Veterans
Memorial Library is
underway, says Mrs
Elsie Williams.
The Monster Madness
Reading Club has a large
number who are reading
the required number of
books. Each reader is
asked to create a monster
of his or her own
imagination.
The story hour at the
Garwood library will
start June 22 and will be
held in six sessions
Monday, June 22;
Wednesday, June 24;
Friday, June 26; Mon
day, June 29; Wed-
nesday, July 1; and the
last session, Friday, July
3
Hours of the sessions
will be from 3 to 4 p.m.,
and the program is open
