and Mrs. A. A. Allen, of this city,
and J. H. Morris, were married in
Sinton Monday, May 12, at the Bap-
tist parsonage, Rev. IV. E. Wood offi-
ciating.
The bride has been a resident of
Aransas Pass for a number of years
past and is well known and popular
with the younger set of the city. The
"■room is working in the Refugio oil
fields and is also well and favorably
known among his associates. The
young couple have the best wishes of
a large circle of friends.

Mrs. H. A. Thomas was delightful
hostess today to a bridge party at
which were present Mrs. J. C. Als-
paugh, Mrs. \Vm. T. Kopperl. Mrs.
Horace Perkins, Mrs. R. K. Felder,
Mrs. John. M. Felder, Jr., Mrs. Jos.
Payne, Mrs. Wm. Kell, Mrs. Frank

Mae Duckworth and Miss Lucy Mln-
ter. The home was beautifully decor-
ated with seasonable flowers and a
delicious luncheon was served. The
high prize was won by Mrs. R. K. Fel-
der, the low by Mrs. Wm. Kell and the
cut prize by Miss Luna Mae Duck-

in Robstown. to Miss Sylvia Fox, of

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Pox,
and is well known in Corpus Christi
and vicinity. Mr. Traweek has been a
valued employe of the Houghton stores
and his large circle of friends here
wish him and his -bride a long and
happy wedded life.

group of friends at the Kopperl home
last Friday evening with a bridge

Miss Mjina Manning, of San Anto-
nio, formerly of Aransas Pass, is vis-
iting in this city and Roekport this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Chitwood and
children, of San Antonio* spent the
week-end in Aransas Pass and Port
Aransas.
Regan Houston, of San Antonio,
spent the first of the week landing a
new sail boat at his summer home on
the seawall.
Mrs. Sam Kaufman and daughter,
Ray Ann, have returned from San An-
tonio. They were accompanied by Miss
Lilly Kaufman.

Memorial hospital in Corpus Christi,
visited her parents, .Mr. and Mrs. I.
L. Roddy, last week.
Torrential rains fell in San Patri-
cio and Aransas counties again Sun-
day, and Aransas Pass and vicinity
took the brunt of the downpour, ap-
proximately 10 inches of rain falling
during the precipitation.
Truck crops were injured quite con-
siderably, which will reduce the vol-
ume of shipping, but prices are being
well maintained. Cotton farmers suf-
fered most and many acres will be
replanted either to cotton or food-
stuffs as soon as the ground dries out
sufficiently for farmers to get into the
fields.
