IMPROVED
T HERE has been so much improvement in the process
of canning shrimp during the past twelve months
not only by the Crawford Packing Company, but by all
progressive shrimp canners that we can now heartily
recommend FRIED SHRIMP.
In the past, many thought that you could fry only
fresh shrimp. The present method of canning shrimp,
however, gives you a product so near like fresh shrimp
that unless you see it come from the can you can hardly
tell the difference. In fact, our new method of packing
what we call wet pack shrimp really gives a fresher
product than shrimp that has been shipped in ice for
any distance. So try just one can of our shrimp fried
and you will like it.
Simply drain the brine from the shrimp, roll in corn
meal or cracker crumbs, black pepper to suit your taste.
No salt need be added. Fry in deep hot fat or in butter.
Fry just long enough to brown, for the shrimp are already
sufficiently cooked.
