Lou Ollie Morrison: Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Celina, Texas
Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. for_Lou Ollie Morrison, 86, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home on
East Walnut Street in Celina, Texas at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 1958. He had been in failing
health for several months. The service was conducted by Rev. Travis Holland, pastor of the church and
Rev. Clarence Hannah. Interment was in Cottage Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Grumbles, Ed
Knuckles, M. A. Huffstedler, Coy Carter, E. W. Edmonds and Edgar Stambaugh. Mr. Morrison was
born January 13, 1872 in Altoga, Texas in east Collin County and had lived all his life in the county. He
farmed for several years near Celina before moving to Celina about 25 years ago. Survivors include his
wife, Laura A. Morrison; two sons, Clint Morrison and Harvey Morrison both of Plano, Texas; two
daughters, Mrs. Rachel Kelley of Celina, Texas and Miss Pearlie Lee Morrison of Celina, Texas; 12
grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A son, George lost his life in World War II. (The Celina Record,

Mary E. (Haning) Moseley: Mrs. Mary E. Moseley, 88, died at the home of her son, T. J.
Mosley in the Alla Community at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 1954. She had not been ill, death coming
suddenly. Mrs. Moseley was born in Collin County on June 14, 1866, a daughter of the late John H.
Haning and wife. She and her late husband were married September of 1887 and reared a family of
twelve children. She and her husband moved to Sherman, Texas in 1920, and lived there until she came
back to Collin County five years ago to live with her son, Tom Moseley and his family. She was a
member of the King Memorial Church of Sherman, Texas. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. in
the Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. J. T. Bledsoe pastor officiating assisted by Rev. Ralph
Vanlandingham pastor of the Weston Methodist Church. Grandsons acted as pallbearers and she was
buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Helms Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters,
Mrs. Sara Mayes of Weston, Texas, Mrs. May Potter of Dallas, Texas; five sons, John H. Moseley of
Kiowa, Washington, Jasper H. Moseley of McKinney, Texas, J. Tom Moseley of Celina, Texas, J. R.
Moseley of Waco, Texas and Elmer Moseley address unknown. (The Celina Record, Celina, Texas,

Marion Moseley: A graveside service at Cottage Hill Cemetery is this afternoon for Marion
Moseley, 40, who died of a heart attack in a Seagraves, Texas hospital Tuesday, November 12, 1957 at
3 p.m. A service was yesterday in Seagraves conducted by Rev. Earl Allen, assisted by Rev. Travis
Holland of Celina, Texas. Mr. Moseley, whose wife is the former Miss Deloris Glendenning, was seized
with an attack while in a Seagraves drug store early Tuesday. After taking a nitro glycerin pill he drove
his car to the hospital where he survived for two hours. Death followed a second attack. Mr. Moseley, a
native of Collin County, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Moseley who now live in Lake Dallas, Texas. He
and his wife, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Glendenning of Celina were married in 1937. He had
been in the dry good business in Seagraves. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Dave Shawver
of El Paso, Texas; son, Tommy Moseley at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Moselely of Lake Dallas,
Texas; three brothers, A. T. Moseley of Seminole, Texas, W. H. Moseley of Allen, Texas and Rex R.
Moseley of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Plumlee of Lake Dallas, Texas, Mrs. B. C.COLLIN CH RONICLES
