Anderson G. Parsley: Funeral services were in the Marilee Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m.
for Anderson G. Parsley, 66, who died at his home northwest of Marilee Community at 5 a.m. Friday,
September 24, 1954, after an illness of two weeks. Rev. R. L. Stanley, pastor of the Marilee Church and
Rev. W. J. Epting of Sherman conducted the service. Interment was in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed
by Helms Funeral Home of Celina, Texas. Pallbearers were Lee Perry, Sam Miller, Volney Hickman,
Jack Kennedy, Alton Woldridge and Dennis Jones. Mr. Parsley was born November 12, 1987 in
Tennessee and came to Texas in 1912, first settling in Bethel Community. About a year later he moved
to the Marilee Community where he has since resided. He joined the Bethel Baptist Church about forty
years ago and at the time of his death was a member of the Marilee Baptist Church. He had been a farmer
all his life. He and his wife had recently bought a house in Celina, Texas planning to retire from the farm
soon. On May 9, 1920, Mr. Parsley and Miss Bernice Ellis were married. She survives as do two sons,
T. P. Parsley and Jimmy Eldon Parsley. (The Celina Record, Celina, Texas, Thursday, September 30,

Jimmy Eldon Parsley: Funeral services for Jimmy Eldon Parsley, 29, were conducted at 2 p.m.
Saturday in the Marilee Baptist Church with pastor, Rev. V. L. Harris officiating assisted by Rev. Roy
Stanley. Interment followed in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Helms Funeral Home. Mr. Parsley
died Thursday morning, March 15, 1956, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anderson Parsley, of Celina,
Texas. He had been ill for some time and had only been released recently from the McKinney VA
Hospital. He was born in the Marilee Community February 21, 1927. He was a graduate of Alla High
School and had served in the Army. A brother, T. P. Parsley of Dallas, Texas is the only survivor in
addition to his mother. Pallbearers were Clarence Webster, Jack Kennedy, Miles Murphy, Robert O'Dell,

Mary Elizabeth (Fulton) Patrick: Mrs. Sam Patrick, a resident of Celina, Texas for 47 years
died at her home here at 7:10 in the morning on August 2, 1959, following a brief illness. Mrs. Patrick,
who was Miss Mary Fulton before her marriage to her late husband, was born July 31, 1887 in Grayson
County, Texas, a daughter of the late Isaac and Susan Cole Fulton. She and her husband moved to Celina,
Texas in 1910 following their marriage on February 14, 1907. The later was engaged in the hardware
business until his death in 1947. Mrs. Patrick was a member of the Methodist Church, Eastern Star and
was a charter member of the Inter Se Club. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at 3 p.m.
Monday with the Rev. Kenneth Thomas of Dallas, Texas, a former pastor, officiating assisted by the
Rev. Sherrill Hendricks of Celina, Texas and Rev. Carl Clement. Burial followed in Celina Cemetery
directed by Helms Funeral Home. Pallbearers were James McKnight of Bonham, Texas, S. G. McKnight,
Ray Grumbles, Volney Phillips, Clint Carey Jr. and John Willock. Survivors include two sons, Carl
Patrick of Celina, Texas and Fulton Patrick of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. W. O. Rolater of Celina,
Texas; a number of nieces and nephews. (The Celina Record, Celina, Texas, Thursday, August 6, 1959)
Beulah (Marks) Perkins: Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Cottage Hill
Methodist Church for Mrs. Beulah Perkins, 62, who died in a McKinney hospital Saturday morning,
June 7, 1952. Rev. John Rakestraw, pastor of Weston Methodist Church performed the service, assisted
by Rev. Huey of Ft. Worth, pastor of Rhea Mills Church. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery. A lifetime
resident of Collin County, Mrs. Perkins was the wife of Frank Perkins, proprietor of Rhea Mills Store.
She was born March 27, 1890, in the Chambersville Community, a daughter of the late James and Mary
Marks. Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. L. A. Powers of McKinney and Mrs. Quinton
Robinson of Plano, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. W. H. Button of Abilene, Texas and Mrs. Luther FrancisCOLLIN CH RONICLES
