Mrs. Jerome L. Harris
Sharon Ann Harris: Mrs. Amy Culwell has received word that her grandson, Jerome L. Harris,
28, of Edmond, Oklahoma was seriously injured in an automobile accident recently which claimed the
lives of his wife and 10 months old daughter, Sharon Ann. The injured man, an employee at Tinker
Field, Oklahoma City, sustained five broken ribs, chest injury, head injury, and broken jar. A number of
teeth were knocked loose and both shoulders were broken. He will be taken from an Oklahoma City
hospital to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Harris of Willow, Oklahoma. The wife and baby
were buried in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. (The Celina Record, Celina, Texas, Thursday, November 9, 1950

Sarah Gertrude "Trudy" (Perkins) Harris: Funeral services were held in First Methodist
Church here Saturday afternoon for Sarah Gertrude Harris, 88, widow of William G. Harris who died in
Dallas, Texas Friday after an illness of three years. She was reared in Celina, Texas and lived in Celina
for a number of years after her marriage. Rev. J. M. Lewis pastor officiated. Interment was in Cottage
Hill Cemetery directed by Helms Funeral Home. Mrs. Harris was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James T.
Perkins and came to Texas with her parents in 1873. She joined the Methodist Church in early girlhood,
placing her membership with Old Union Church near Celina, Texas. She married W. G. Harris in 1888,
and she and her husband lived near Celina until they moved to Weatherford, Texas abut thirty years ago.
She moved to Dallas, Texas about four years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles Brinner
of Dallas, Texas; a son, P. G. Harris of Lubbock, Texas; a brother, W. T. Perkins of Celina, Texas; two
grandsons, J. P. Harris of McKinney, Texas and Olen Harris of Celina, Texas; and a number of nieces

Alvis E. "Jack" Harrell: A. E. "Jack" Harrell, 55, of the Murphy Community near Plano, Texas
died at the family home at 1:30 a.m. today after an illness of three months. Mr. Harrell, a native of
Arkansas was a husband of the former Neva Chipman of Celina, Texas. He had been employed in Dallas
for 25 years before retiring four years ago and moving to Murphy. Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Friday in Murphy Baptist Church with Rev. Neil Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cottage
Hill Cemetery. Acting pallbearers will be Curtis Vaughn, John Harrell, A. N. Harrell, T. E. Harrell, Neil
Moore and Claud Harrell. Survivors include his wife; three brothers, E .C. Harrell, J. Tom Harrell of
Terrell, Texas and W. F. Harrell of Munsen; one sister, Mrs. R. M. Vaughn of Wylie, Texas; one son,

Mattie Hazelwood: Mrs. Mattie Hazelwood of Bellingham, Washington died Monday, March
26, 1951 at the age of 90. Mrs. Hazelwood was a sister of A. S. Klinglesmith of Celina, Texas and T. L.
Klinglesmith of Valley View, Texas. She visited in this community a number of years ago. Mrs.
Hazelwood was born and reared in Kentucky and moved to Washington after her marriage. She is
survived by two sons, Alfred and Clifford Hazelwood, both residents of Washington. (The Celina
