Sunday in the "Weekend of
Champions" in Dallas.
The .three-day event expeoted
to be the largest ever of its kind
is a gathering of athletes from
throughout the nation under the
auspiees of the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes.

Two Abilene Christian College
assistant football coaches have
announced Um signing of three
more high school athletes bring-
ing the 199 total to seven.
Backfteld Coach Tad Sitton
got the signatures on a letter of
intent from split end Rickey
Green and tackle Xdward Carter
both of Wichita Falls Booker T.
Washington High.
"These are the type of boys
we need in our program" said
Sitton. "Both have the ability to
play college football."
Carter a 8-1 230-pounder
was team captain and All-Die-trlet
m 4 -AAA. He was a two
year letterman. A 8-0 180-
pounder Green was also an All-
District selection. He earned
three numerals. Booker T. Wash-
ington was Zone ohampion of
4-AAA and defeated district
winner Brownwood.
Both young men were top
students and on the honor roll.
Carter maintained a 3.3 grade
point average In high school.
Bill Greene a 6-2'A 220-
pound tackle from Wylie was
signed by K. Y. Owen.
"Bill has all Um physical quali-
fications to make a top collage
player" Owens said. "We feel he
has a lot of football potential."
The newest Wildcat was hon-
orable mention alt-area and all-
district this past season for Wylle
High co-champs in District
10-A. Greene was a second team
all-district selection In 1987. A
two-year letterman he was team
captain and outstanding offen-
sive lineman in 1948.
Greene also lettered in track
throwing the shot put 48 feet.
Nashville Station
Gives TV Equipment
Television equipment consist-
ing of 20 image-orthlcon tubes
nine videotapes two video moni-
tors and a stabilizing amplifier
was given to ACC by Station
WSM of Nashville.
