Fourth Grade
Gridders Still
In Stalemate
The fourth grade gridsters
are still at a stalemate when
their second encounter again
ended in a 0-0 tie.
1 Roger King, acting as field
general, led the Blazes’ attack
and took the ball down to the
Raiders’ 12-yarddine but the
defensive plays of Cole
Mitchell and Paul Thompson
held the Blazes and took over
on downs.
| The only Raider threat
dame in the second half, after
they had forced the Blazes to
punt. Cole Mitchell opened the
drive with a pass completed to
Ruben Berzoza, Jeff Rea added
$ first down, as did Captain
Deon Bryant through the
middle of the line. Aided by a
penalty, the ball was placed on
the Blaze 3-yard-line and a first
down for defensive holding.
But three outstanding
defensive plays, by Ray Boring,
Montie Wren and Ricky Kidd,
ended the theat and the ball
game.
Lineup for the Blazes were
Montie Wren, Jim Johnson,
Ricky Kidd, Joe Briones, Ray
Boring, Roger King, Captain
Pub Dietrich, Rodney Nelson,
Robert Thomas, Manuel
Berzoza and Ralph Simon.
| Playing for the Raiders were
Raul Thompson, Carl Fason,
Captain Cole Mitchell, Captain
Peon • Bryant, Doug Fields,
.Randy Tuerck, Randy McKay,
Jeff Rea, Eldon Litton,
Thomas Grosser, Lane

&nd Ruben Berzoza.

then Dunlop pitched out to the
big halfback and he rumbled
around left end to score
standing up. Again Denny split

Ashley ran for five, then
Kirkwood passed to Chris
Spray for 11 yards and to Jack
McGowen for 10. Kirkwood’s
next pass was incomplete, but
