the Grover C. Morlan Medal for outstanding leadership in education from Joseph
Marshall assistant professor of education.
Events set for migrant children
Kappa Delta Pi the education honor
society and the Texas Student Education
Association will participate in the Fourth
Annual Migrant Competitive Events at ACU
Saturday.
The events give migrant children a
chance to compete in academic and athletic
events. The academic events are oral in-
trepretation English; oral interpretation
Spanish; art contemporary and cultural
crafts contemporary and cultural
mathematics and spelling; and creative
composition The athletic events are the
broad jump the dashes and the sot t bail
throw.
The members of Kappa Delta Pi and the
TSEA will serve as judges and monitors
for the events.
The migrant events are sponsored by
Region XIV Service Center a service for
public schools funded by the Texas
Education Agency. The center based in
Abilene serves approximately 50 schools in
the region. It. provides media materials
consultants and special programs for school
children.
