the new educational trends In

High School
After a week of very hectic
work, aU the people associated
with the Homecoming activit-
ies can now give a sigh of
relief.
The boo-fire was held Thurs-
day, November 2. A large num-
ber of parents attended along
with students and teachers
which showed that the towns-
people do have spirit and pride
for our team.
A pep rally badbeenschedul-
ed in the downtown area. Doe
to the weather, the rally was
held In the gym. The weather
did not dampen the Panther
Spirit, for the gym was packed.
Halftime activities were also
canceled. The official crown-
ing of the quean, Sue Elian
Attaway, was postponed until
the dance.
The Homecoming Dance was
a huge success. The theme
was "The Panther Hall of
Fame". The decorations rang-
ed from a parachute hung from
the celling to football parapher-
nalia. The total effect was
terrific and well worth the time
the Pep Squad spent in decor-
ating. Many ex's were present
and we hope they passed a
very pleasant evening. The
Dynamic Crown supplied the
music.
Another Senior committee
has been formed. Its purpose
Is to make signs and posters
to promote school spirit. The
committee Is made up by Sue
Ellen Attaway, chairman, John
Dotson, Dion Jones, Gloria
Frlesanhahn, Patricia Gllden,
Den Foster, Josie Smith, Kim
Parks, Greg Redmond, Nancy
Lae sod Char la Hamrick.
The Panthers have won an-
other game. This game was
against the Rockport Pirates.
Two players were injured;
David Garcia and Johnny Mot-
her shed who will be out the
rest of the season. The game
was won with a score of 9 to
a.
