Chamber Board of Commissioners
City Hall, City of Abilen$ Texas
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Abilene met in regular
session Friday July 3, 1931 with Mayor York present and presiding. Com-
missioners present Johnson, Sammons, Womack and Morrison. Commissioners
absent, None. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Commissioner Womack made a motion^- duly seconded and carried,
a'pproving Valuation Engineer*s Warrant No. One issued in favor of George
G. Ehrenborg for the sum of $1500.00, dated July 3, 1931 as authorized
by Resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners June 12th, 1931.
All Commissioners voted "Aye”.
Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
that Mr. R. T. Redies be granted a vacation beginning July 11th, 1931.
All Commissioners voted "Aye”.
Commissioner Sammons made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
that Mr. I. E. Gilmore be granted a vacation beginning July 7, 1931.
All Commissioners voted "Aye".
By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly ssconded and carried,
Alice Allen was allowed a vacation beginning July 13, 1931. All Com-
missioners voted "Aye".
VOUCHERS & PAYROLL Commissioner Morrison made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
APPROVED that all payroll presented and approved for payment and all vouchers
approved Nos* 2409 B to 2461 B, inclusive, be allowed and ordered paid.
All Commissioners voted "Aye".
AUTHORIZING Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
CITY SEC. TO authorizing the City Secretary to issue vouchers in favor of the West
ISSCJE VOUCHERSTexas Utilities Company as follows: General Fund - $3,133.74; Airport
Fund - $24.00; Parks Fund - $7.91; Street & Brbge Fund - $8.11, for
Gas and Electric Services for May 1931. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
TAX ROLL SHEETS- Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly s econded a nd carried,
ACCEPT BID OF that the bid of Dorsey Company for $47.00 for 1,000 tax roll sheets as
DORSEY CO. presented to the Commission., be accepted. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
SETTLEMENT OF ACCT . FOR Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
CHEMICAL TEST authorizing the City Secretary to issue a voucher in f avor <bf The
FOR AVIATION Dallas Laboratories for $5,00 as settlement of account for chemical
GAS test for Aviation Gasoline made March 19, 1931. All Commissioners voted
"Aye".
The following resolution was read before the Board:
APPR
OVING BUDGET RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF ABILENE FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING APRIL 30, 1932.
WHEREAS, the Honorable Mayor in compliance with the Charter for
The City of Abilens , Texas, has pre pared and submitted his budget for
the fiscal year ending April 30, 1932; and
Whereas, said budget has been examined and appears to be regular
in every way and seems to set forth necessary expenditures for the ensuing
year:
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved By The Board of Commissioners of
The City of Abilene, Texas that the budget to which this resolution is
attached be and. the same in hereby approved and adopted as the budget
for the fiscal year ending April 30, 1932.
Passed and approved this the 3rd day of July 1931.

By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried,
the foregoing resolution was adopted. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
VOUCHER TO JOE WRIGHT gy motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried,
FOR LABOR AT the city Secretary was authorized to issue a voucher in favor of
AIRPORT joe v/right for $9.00 out of the Airport Fund for labor at Airport.
All Commissioners voted "Aye".
