Chamber Board of Commissioners
City Hall, City of Abilene, Texas
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Abilene, Texas met in regular
session Friday August 7, 1931 with Mayor ProTem Morrison presiding in the
absence of Mayor York, Commissioners present, Johnson, Sammons and Womack*
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
IATION AUTHORIZ^r motion .'f Commissioner Johnson, duly seconded and carried, Mr. W.S.Beam
S. BEAM of the -Police Department was granted a vacation beginning August 10, 1931.
All Commissioners voted "Aye”,
DAIRY PERMITS TO By motion of Commissioner Johnson, duly seconded and carried, dairy

PURCHASE from Mr. S. E. Barnett, Huntsville, Texas for $22.50 and authorizing the
AUTHORIZED City Secretary to issue voucher for same. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
VACATION AUTHORIZHEbmmissioner Sammons made a motion,duly seconded and carried, granting
^ .SCUDDER # vacations to W. I. Scudder beginning August 3, 1931 and to R. D. Joyce be-
ginning August 10, 1931. All Commissioners voted "Aye ,

KE ABIDENE-RE- Commissioner Sammons made a .motion, duly seconded and carried, authori-
!ST TO GAMEz ing the City Attorney to write a letter to the Game Department at Austin,
>T. requesting that Lake Abilene proper, be taken out of the State Game Reserve.
All Commissioners voted "Aye”.

REFUND FOR zing the City Secretary to issue a voucher in favor of the American Legion
RENTAL OF out of the General Fund for $70,00 as a refund for rental of Fair Park
FAIR PARK Auditorium. All Commissioners voted "Aye”.
AUDITORIUM
The Following Resolution was read before the Board:

SUBDIVISION APPR. RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLAT OF T. C. CAMPBELLTS CONTINUATION OF COLLEGE
T .C .CAMPBELL DRIVE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF ABILENE, TEXAS.
CONT. OF COLLEGE
DRIVE ADDITION Whereas, T. C. Campbell came before the Board of Commissioners of The
City of Abilene, Texas with a plat of T. C. Campbell!s Continuation of
College Drive Addition to The City of Abilene, Texas; and
Whereas, he urges the adoption of said plat to be filed of record in
the offices of the County Clerk of Taylor Co., Texas as an official sub-
division of The City of Abilene, Texas; and
Whereas, there appears no good reason why the plat should not be
adopted and the same appears to meet the city*s general plans for sub-
divisions :
Now, Therefore, Be xt Resolved By The Board of Commissioners of The
City of Abilene, Texas that the Mayor Fro Tem in the absence of the Mayor
be authorized to sign this resolution and. that the said plat be and the same
is hereby adopted.
Passed and approved this the 7th day of August 1931.

FARM RENTAL CONTRAggsOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR PRO TEM TO EXECUTE A FARM RENTAL

Whereas, A. R. MCClure d esires to rent from the City 103 Acres of land
at a price of $1.00 per acres for one year; and
Whereas, the contract attached hereto seems feasible to the City and
to its best interests; and
Whereas, the Mayor is absent from the City:
