SPECIAL SESSION - Thursday
August 15, 1931 - 9 A. M.
Chamber Board of Commissioners
City Hall, City of Abilene, Texas
The Board of Commissioners met is Special Session Thursday August
13, 1931 with Mayor York Present and presiding. The meeting was called
for the purpose of authorizing the Issuance of Bond funding warrants in
the amount of $26,541.61. Commissioners Johnson, Morrison, ^omack and
Sammons were notified to that effect and all were present.
The following Resolution was read before the Board:
AUTHORIZING CONTRACT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TEE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE
!H CITIZENS NATL. CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK OF ABILENE, TEXAS:
NK FOR ISSUANCE OF
ID FUNDING WARRANTS .. ^ ^ _ ,
WHEREAS,there is an accrued indebtedness against certain bond tunas
as shown by the contract to which this resolution is attached and made
part thereof; and
WHEREAiS, certain sums are now due and unpaid and there is a deiicit
as indicated in the said contract attached and made part of this reso-
lution; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners and Citizens National Bank of
Abilene, Texas have reached an agreement whereby the deficit existing is
to be refinanced and funded; and
WHEREAS, the funding of said obligations seems to comply with the
laws relating to such matters and the plan appears to^be necess ary and
expedient and to the best interests of the City of Ati lene, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of
The Citv of Abilene, Texas that the M ay or be and he is hereby authorized
to execute the attached contract with The Citizens National Bank of Abilene,
Texas.
Passed and approved this the 14th day of August 1931.
