The Board, of Commissioners of the City of Abilene met in regular
session Friday August 21, 1931 with iviayor York present and. presiding.
Commissioners Present, Johnson, Morrison, Womack and Sammons.
The minutes of the previous regular and special meetings were read
and approved.
Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
dairy permits be granted to J. A. Starnater and to J. R. Orchard. An
Commissioners voted "Aye".
VACATION APPROVED Commissioner Sammons made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
L .T .WAjjDDILL L. T. Waddill be allowed a vacation beginning August 24th and that the
City Secretary be authorized to issue voucher for $125.00 In f avor of
Waddill for salary for August 1931. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
VACATION APPROVED Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
HENRY DARDEN Mr. Henry Darden, Policeman, be allowed a vacation beginning August 25th.

All Commissioners voted "Aye".
& VOUCHERS By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried, all
/HD payrolls presented and approved and all vouchers approved, Nos. 2345 B
to 2377 B? inclusive, were allowed and ordered paid. All Commissioners
voted "Aye".
PAYMENT OF BILL OF By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried, the
COST:CiITY OF ABILRNEty Secretary was authorized to issue a voucher out of the General rund
VS .S .L.CARRICO for $16.20 in favor of Miss Belle Wellborn for Bill of Costs in case of
City of Abilene Vs. S. L. Carrico. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
STENOGRAPHIC SERVICES Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
PD TO DALE JOBE the City Secretary be authorized to Issue a voucher for $4.50 in favor of
Miss Dale Jobe for stenographic services to Mr. DeBusk. All Commissioners
voted "Aye".
MOVING BOND TO Commissioner Morrison made a motion, duly seconded and carried,

approving the House Moving Bond of R. L. Mills for $1,000,00.

ORDINANCE PROHIBITING "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SOLICITING OF AUTOMOBILE STORAGE FROM
SOLICITING OF AUTOMO- SIDE-WALKS, STREETS, AND PUBLIC WAYS OF THE CITY OF ABILENE,
BILE STORAGE FROM TEXAS, PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. "

above Ordinance was passed on first and final reading. All Commissioners
