City Hall, City of Ablene , Texas
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Abilene met in regular ses-
sion Friday September 4, 1931, with Mayor York present and presiding.
CoBimissloners present, Morrison, '<'|omack, Sammons and Johnson.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
PAYROLL & VOUCHERS By motion of Commi ssioner Womack, duly seconded and carried, all pay-
APPROVED rolls presented and approved for payment and all vouchers approved, Nos.
2936 B to 3009 B, inclusive, were ordered paid. All Commissioners voted
”Aye”.
ATTORNEY’S FEES PD. Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and. carried, authorizing
WILEY L.CAFFEY the* City Secretary to issue a voucher out of the General Fund in favor of
Wiley L. Caffey for $77.50 as Attorney’s Fees for August 1931. All Com-
missioners voted '’Aye”.
APPROVE BOND OF
WILEY
Commi ssioner Morrison made a motion, duly seconded and carried, approving
L.CAFFEY the bond of Wiley L. Caffey. All Commissioners voted uAye”.
RENT-A-CAR CONTRACT Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly seconded and carried, granting
a contract to Rent-A-Car Company for the towing in of cars parked on the
Street at night, for $1.00 each. All commissioners voted "Aye”.
CONTRACT TO HENRY Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
SNODGRASS TO the contract be awarded to Henry Snodgrass for painting the Mqtal roof at
FAINT ROOF AT City Auditorium for $61.00 under the supervision of Mr. H. J. Bradsnaw,
CITY AUD. City Engineer. All Commissioners voted "Aye”.

FOR FIRE Commissioner Sammons made a motion, duly seconded and carried, allowing

PAYMENT FOR MAP OF By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried, the Ciyty
BILENE Secretary was authorized to issue a voucher for $1.00 in favor of the
State Board of Water Engineers for map of Lake Abilene. All Commissioners
voted ”Ayen.

DAY-HOLIDAY Commissioner Sammons made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
Labor Day, September 7, 1931, be declared as a Holiday for City Employees.
All Commissioners voted "Aye”.
The Following Resolution was read before the Board:
RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT $38.75 TAXES FROM W. S. WAGLEY ON THE EAST 35 4
2 FEET OF THE S. W. 100 FEET BY' 140 FEET OF BLOCK 201, OUTLOT TWO (2),
WAGLEY
01, OUTLOT
DIVISION C, ABILENE, TEXAS.
Whereas, the tax collector’s records show that the East 70 feet of
the S. W. 100 feet by 140 feet of Block 201, Outlot 2, Division C, are':
delinquent for taxes for the years 1928-29; and
Whereas, it appears that W. S. Wagley is owner of the East 35 feet
of the said property and desires to pay the taxes for such 35 feet:
Therefore, Be It Resolved By he Board of^Commissioners of The City
of Abilene, Texas that the sum of $38.75 be accepted as the payment of
taxes for the East 35 feet of the property above described for the years
indicated.
Passed and approved this the 4th day of September 1931.
