Regular Session - - Friday
October 2, 1951 - - 3 P.M.
The Board of Commissioners of The City of Abilene, Texas met in regilar
session Friday October 2, 1931 with Mayor ProTem Morrison presiding in the
absence of the Mayor. Commissioners present Morrison, Sammons,Johnson and
Womack. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved,
LEAVE ;■ OF ABSENCE By motion of Commissioner Sammons, duly seconded and carried, T. L.
GRANTED TO Clark was granted a leave of absence for Saturday October 3, 1931. All
T.L.CLARK commissioners voted "Aye".
PURCHASE OF 2 NEW Commissioner Johnson made a motion^ duly seconded and carried, that
MOTORCYCLES the Police Department be authorized to purchase Two new motorcycles for
AUTHORIZED $734.00 less trade in allowance on oldmmachines $300.00: Total $434.00.
All Commissioners voted "AyeM.
PURCHASE OF NEW By motion of Commissioner Johnson, duly seconded and carried, the
TRUCK FOR purchase of one new truck for $868.00 for the Sanitary Department, from
SANITARY DEPT Fulwiler Motor Company, ,was authorized. All Commissioners voted "Aye" .

AUTHORIZING SALE OF Commissioner Johnson made a motion, duly seconded and carried, authori-
4 MULES IN zing the sale of four mules in the Sanitary Department, when satisfactory
SANITARY DEPT, price is obtained. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
BOND OF C.M.COOLEY Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried, approving
APPROVED the bond of C. M. Cooley for $1,000.00. All Commissioners voted "Aye".

PAYMENT TO J .W .WALLACEmotion of Commissioner Sammons, duly seconded and carried, the City
FOR REPAIRING Secretary was authorized to Issue a voucher in favor of J. W. Wallace for
$2.50 for repairing Curb in North Second-North Third Alley. All Commis-
sioners voted "Aye".

J.R.LEE SUSPENDED Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried, that
FOR 15 DAYS J. R. Lee, Policeman, be suspended for a period of fifteen days, beginning
immediately, because of unbecoming conduct while on duty. All Commissioners
voted "Aye".
The following Resolution was read before the Board:
RESOLUTION AUTHOR. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A 'SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT
MAYOR TO EXECUTE WITH WEST TEXAS UTILITIES COMPANY,
SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT
WITH W .T .U . CO. Whereas, West Texas Utilities Company and The City of Abilene have
reached an agreement to make some changes in paragraphs No. 4 and 10
of a certain contract heretofore executed bearing date May 25, 1923; and
Whereas, the desired changes have been reduced to writing in a sup-
plemental written agreement is hereto attached and made a part of this
resolution: J
Therefore, Be It Resolved By The Board of Commissioners of The City
of Abilene, Texas tPiat the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute the supplemental agreement with West Texas Utilities
Company.
Passed and approved this the 2nd day of October A. D. 1931.

was adjourned. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
