The following resolution was read before the Board:
RESOLUTION AUTH. MAYOR RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE
TO SIGN CONTRACT TEXASAND PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANY.
WITH TEXAS & PACIFIC R .R. CO.
WHEREAS, The Texas and Pacific Railway Company submitted to
the Board of Commissioners a contract to which this resolution is at-
tached and made a part the is of; and
Whereas, request was made that the City execute such contract
and the same seems to the best interests of the City:
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved By The Board of Commissioners
of The City of Abilene, Texas, that the Mayor be and he is hereby
authorized to execute said contract with Texas and Pacific Railway
Company.
Passed and approved this the 9th day of October 1951.

RENTAL ON LEASE the above resolution was adopted and the City Secretary was authorized
to issue a voucher in favor of Texas and Pacific Railway Company for
$1.00 for rental on lease. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
The following Resolution was read before the Board:QUIT CLAIM DEED TO MRS A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A QUIT-CLAIM DEED
GEO .W .MCDANIEL *0 GEO. W. MCDANIEL CONVEYING WHATEVER RIGHTS THE CITY MAY HAVE IN
TO SMALL ALLEY AND TO A SMALL ALLEY IN THE MASONIC CEMETERY, BUT RESERVING THE EASE-
IN MASONIC CEM. ME1^T FOR WATER LINES, OTHER PIPE LINES, AND ALL UTILITIES WITH THE RIGHTS
OF INGRESSAND EGRESS FOR THE MAINTENANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, a small alley through a part of the Masonic Cemetery
appears of little use as such and Mrs, Geo. W, McDaniel proposes to
take a quit-claim deed from The City of Abilene, Texas for the purpose
of beautifying said small tract of land; and
| WHEREAS, it appears that The City of Abilene, Texas has no
interest in said alley other than to protect the rights of its citizens
and the public; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said alley can be of little service
other than for an easement for pipe lines for water, gas, and all other
utilities:
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved By The Board of Commissioners
of The City of Abilene, Texas that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized
to execute a quitclaim deed to said alley as described in the deed pre-
sented provided there shall be an easement for the water lines, gas lines,
and other utilities as afore said together with the right of ingress and
egress for the purpose of upkeep and maintenance. This resolution shall
be attached to the deed and with it placed of record.
Passed and approved this the 9th day of October 1931.

ALEX jjiMILLER the exemption list: Lot 20, Alex J. Miller Subdivision of Lot 13, Central
SUBD.of LOT 13 Park Addition, City of Abilene, Texas. This property is exempt for
CENTRAL PARK ADD.reason of being purchased for minors with moneys received from insurance
from the United States Government. All Commissioners voted "Aye".
By motion of Commissioner Sammons, duly seconded and carried,
the meeting was adjourned. All Commissioners voted "Aye".Mayor
