Store is a one story wood frame building with porch across front. Wagon load of lumber with three African American men sitting on top is parked in front of the store to the left. Horse and buggy with 2 white children in buggy and African American boy standing with the horse is parked to the right of the building. Identification of people is written in black pen on the back of the photo as follows: "T.B. Wessendorff in white shirt by door; Baby in doorway probably Marguerite Wesendorff; Jennie Jones Wessendorff in front of window; Lizzie Wessendorff in white dress on right side of porch; Jennetta Wessendorff in phaeton (buggy)." Photograph and matte have four black ink spots. All four corners of matte are broken off as of 3/2000.

Bottom half of matte is in poor condition. Entire bottom edge is missing, plus bottom corners are broken off. Image is intact. Photograph of the Bassett Home that was located at the corner of Jackson Street and Sixth Street. It was the home of Clem and Libbie Bassett. The house is a white two story house with a porch located on the north west corner of the building. A second story white railed balcony is above the front porch. A bay window is found at the north east end of house and another on the west side. A railed balcony rests above the bay window at the west side. White picket fence surround north and west sides of the house. Two women (holding parasols) are standing behind a group of children that are sitting on the ground. An African-American man is standing near the picket fence. A man and woman are standing near the front porch of the house and a woman is sitting in a bay window on west end of house. Large trees line the house and one smaller tree stands in front of the porch. The photograph is mounted on a cardboard substrate. The cardboard is broken near top left corner and at bottom right corner. It has been taped at top and top, right corner. Cracks at left and right edges.

[Beasley Depot - The Macrenia Railroad]
Photograph (copy) of the Beasley Depot. The depot was on the New York, Texas & Mexican Railway which was nicknamed the "Macaroni Line" since it was constructed largely by Italian immigrant workers. The railway was later purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad. The depot is a one story wooden building painted with light colors and dark trim. A sign reads: BEASLEY on the east side of the building. Crowd of people are gathered outside of the building. A locomotive is seen on the far right of photo. Train tracks in foreground.
