Herrera discusses some of the voting issues of Texas and New Mexico LULAC councils and mentions that Gonzales will be making the nominating speech for Herrera at the National LULAC Convention, with George Lopez of Wharton, Texas, seconding the nomination. And also, in a short note, the letter mentions the birth of Herrera's daughter Cathy Luz.

This is a notification that the date of the Regional LULAC Convention to be held in January, 1951 in Houston, Texas, has been changed to January 27 and 28, 1951. It is also an invitation to Jacob Rodriguez to speak after the speech of welcome at the convention.
