He advises of his only fear being of the impact that his record might have on his son's ambitions to become an ensign in the U. S. Navy via an appointment to Annapolis. Hill explains that an enclosed C/C [cashier's check] is to reimburse for the rental on P. O. Box 1032. Hill outlines his business travel itinerary and monologues on politics advising that the recent "hostile involvings" may retard business progress. "It might be that we presently have a fully DEVELOPED Kingfish 'Huey Long' set-up?" Hill handwrites postcript at bottom of page sending regards to all. Notation at top of page indicates a reply by Carswell on October 17, 1950.

The cover letter by Jones advises of several enclosures including copies of the Agreement to Return and duplicate pictures of Subject OSP 22624 to supplement the supervisory data sent previously.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from H. M. Randall, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact, Salem, Oregon, by Robert E. Jones, Deputy Administrator, dated April 13, 1956. Referring to a note Carswell appended to the report for Subject OSP 22624, Randall explains that there is a greater chance for a pardon after a subject has been supervised for at least two years. He discusses Oregon laws regarding the voting rights of offenders, the fact that pardons are rarely issued in Oregon and closes stating that they trust that Subject will continue to merit Carswell's favorable comments.
