The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with John E. ""Jack"" Freemann. When Freemann finished high school in Pennsylvania in 1940, he enrolled in the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell. From there, Freeman enrolled in Bucknell University. He was there when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and joined the Navy in June, 1942 for pilot training. Freemann completed flight training and was commissioned in October, 1943.
