Photocopy of a letter from Bill McCarter, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Carol Wyrick, Coordinator of the National Arts and Humanities Education Program, National Museum of American Art of the Smithsonian Institution. In regards to the Latino Art and Culture exhibition being held at the Smithsonian Institution and how most of the teachers in the NTIEVA program are teaching at schools with a large percentage of Latino students. The teachers are having a problem finding quality materials associated with Latino artists and McCarter is interested in having the institute devote a portion of their time to the Latino Art and having Wyrick come to the Texas institute to introduce new instruction packages.

Wiggins writes that Dallas ISD will be unable to continue their participation in the extension of the Getty grant for the 1995-1996 school years, due to time consideration and budgeting. However, there might be a possibility for participation for the 1997-1998 school year if they're able to pick up DISD's school funding needs. Wiggins concludes, saying how much she enjoyed her involvement with the NTIEVA consortium and to let them know of any opportunities to work with North Texas and the Getty Foundation again.

This is the second page of a letter Rosenberg has sent to Berry in regards to Berry's participation in the Education Institute's National Conference, "Education For the Workplace Through the Arts." The Education Institute is inviting Berry to represent museum educators during a panel to comment on the DBAE program in general education and implementation. Cc'd on the letter is Val Marmillion, Lori Weisgerber, Jack Davis and Bill McCarter.

Photocopy of a letter from Bill McCarter and Jack Davis, co-directors of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to John Biggers. In regards to a project which the NTIEVA initiated, that sought out high quality reproductions of work of at in five museums in the DFW area and that one of Bigger's painting, "Starry Clown" was selected for the portfolio. NTIEVA, with the Marcus Grant, produced 500 portfolios and each was placed at no cost in the elementary and secondary schools in the consortium of the Institute. McCarter and Davis write that the portfolio has been successful with teachers and students, that they received requests for additional portfolios, and are reaching out to Biggers to request the use of the image in commercial production of future portfolios.
