This design "relates to an improved machine having for its object to convey the lint or cotton from the gin-house to the press, and to subject it to a preliminary compressing or packing process, the object being to dispense with the manual labor usually called into requisition for this purpose" (lines 24-30).
Patent for a new and improved cotton stalk and weed cutter. This design calls for "[a]n interchangeable cotton-stalk cutter and sulky plow . . . adapted to receive a plow at its rear end" (lines 67-70). The cutting blades can be raised and lowered as needed.
Patent for improvement in well-boring machines in which it can be “rapidly bore through earth or rock holes of any desired size or depth, for the purpose of procuring water.” (P. 1, lines 9-12) Illustration is included.
Patent for improvement in ventilators which combines a bell-mouthed vane with white induction and black eduction pipes for the purpose of introducing fresh air and eliminating foul air from an enclosed area.
Patent for a new and improved ironing board. This design consists, "with the supporting-frame and hinged board, of the inclined bar pivoted to the under side of said board, the lever hinged at one end to the lower end of the bar and fulcrumed . . . to the under side of the cross-bar, and the treadle hinged to one bottom rail and passing under the other" (lines 75-82).

This design consists in "the combination of the beam having the downwardly and forwardly extending standard and foot, the seat-plate secured to the foot and having perforations, the arm or bracket extending laterally from the standard, and the share bolted to the seat-plate and having the landside and the moldboard bolted to the plate and arm and resting upon said plate and arm and upon the upper edges of the mold-board and landside" (lines 64-74).
Patent for saddle stirrup, with illustrations. The invention "relates to those stirrups which are provided with foot-pieces adapted to oscillate thereupon... and at the same time provide means whereby the foot-pieces can have limited universal movement" (lines 10-15).
Patent for seed planting and marking machines specifically for planting corn, cotton, or any other seeds required planting in rows. This device allows row planting without a check cord or line as it will drop seeds at regular and variable (adjustable) intervals and mark hills.
Patent for an improved self-closing cock or faucet that is made up of a pipe with an elongated chamber, a nozzle that is attached to the upper part of the pipe, an inner pipe within the chamber that has apertures in the upper part, a cylindrical valve in the inner pipe, a spring-actuated plunger-rod attached to the cylindrical valve, a handle attached to the plunger-rod, and a drop-valve that closes the lower end of the cylindrical valve.
Patent for a "shell or projectile for firing from large guns...which can be discharged from the gun without danger of the dynamite exploding from the shock incident to the projecting explosive" (lines 8-9, 11-14).
