Patent for improvements in animal-traps that would be capable of catching two animals; to set the trap, bait is placed upon the hooked ends of the bait-hooks, the jaws are elevated and retained in a position by the link-catches, which have the lower hooked ends engaging the trigger, which has its free end engaging the eye at the inner end of the bait hooks, thus setting the trap, (lines 66-73) ready to catch animals. Patent for a new and improved animal-trap. This design consists "[i]n a trap comprising a well having ingress-openings in diametrically-opposite sides, the combination, with a cage constructed to move vertically in the said well, of plates mounted in ways and constructed to slide past and cover the said openings and having connection with the cage to counterbalance the same" (lines 86-93).

Patent for a new and improved artesian-well borer. This design "has for its object to furnish a combination tool which will wear or cut the harder grades or rock frequently met with in boring wells of this class, and also to furnish a tool which will be harder than the common steel too or auger, thereby dispensing with the necessity of taking out and sharpening" (lines 13-20). It consists in "[a] fluted hemispherical mass of corundum for boring Artesian wells, said mass being provided with cutting-edges which extend from the apex to the base, [and] a metallic core embedded within the mass" (lines 16-20).
Patent for an "apparatus for filling bottles with crude petroleum, turpentine, and other liquids; and its object is to provide an improved construction which shall possess superior advantages with respect to efficiency in operation" (lines 14-19).
Patent for "a simple system and arrangement which is especially adapted for a telephone exchange, which enables the instruments to be connected by a single wire, which dispenses with the use of an operator at the central station, which has automatic means for registering the messages sent by each subscriber, and which is provided with an automatic switching device by means of which one subscriber may connect with any other" (lines 10-19).
Patent for an axle lubricator that continuously lubricates an axle through a hollow nut in the end of the hub bushing, and the oil cup can be refilled easily and without removing the wheel.
Patent for improvements in balance-staffs for watches by “strengthen and increase the durability of the pivots or journals of the staff while reducing the friction to a minimum” (lines 16-19), included illustration.
Patent for a bale-band tightener, for "baling-presses; and its object is to provide a new and improved bale-band tightener which is simple and durable in construction and arranged to permit the operator to conveniently place the bands in position and fasten the ends together after the bale is pressed." (Lines 7-13)
Patent for a baling-press meant to bale cotton. In this machine, "the power as applied to the plunger is increased in proportion to the resistance offered by the material being baled and whereby the forward movement of the plunger is automatically checked at the limit of its path and is returned to its initial positioin without effort upon the part of the operator" (lines 10-17).
Patent for "baling-presses of that class wherein motion is communicated to the plunger from a sweep operated by horse or similar power, and the object in view is to improve the construction of the baling-chamber and attachments, and, furthermore, to provide a simple and efficient construction of plunger-operating mechanism" (lines 8-15)
Patent for a baling-press for cotton and uses a compression chamber and a head or compressor block to compress the cotton. The invention is more effective and more expeditious than other baling-presses.
Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the horizontal driving-screw, the plunger, connections between the plunger and the screw, the endwise-moveable vertical shaft, gearing between the said shaft and the driving screw, the lever supporting said shaft, the [other] lever and the links connecting the [latter] lever with the [former] lever" (lines 33-39).

It has spurred rollers, and has a unique way of mounting rollers or rotary ties, in that they do not block the track.
Patent for an ax that is "provided with a poll made in two sections adapted to be clamped or secured to the handle and receive a removable bit or hardened section presenting the cutting edge" (lines 16-20).
Patent for an improved cigar-package that complies "with all the requirements of the revenue laws, to be retailed to purchasers, who destroy the stamp upon opening the package, the construction being such that the packages thus opened can be used as pocket cases for the protection of the cigars" (lines 21-27).
Patent for "a new and improved apparatus for collecting, conveying, and unloading feed and water for stock and water for private use and for conveying and unloading lumber or merchandise of any kind." (Lines 12-16) Includes instructions and illustrations.
Patent for an improved combined corn and cotton planters that "effectively carr[ies] out the duplex functions of planters of this class, which will possess advantages in point of simplicity, durability, effectiveness, and general efficiency" (lines 11-14).
Patent for a device that operates as a hatchet and as a wire-twisting device, so that "slack may be taken up in fence-wires as fast as it occurs" (lines 11-12). The wire-tightener is two triangles stick out from the side of the hatchet, where the operator can pinch the wire.
Patent for an underground conduit electric railway meant to propel cars. The conduit can be drained and kept dry, and a trolley attachment protects the conduit from dirt and water as well.
Patent for an inexpensive and simply constructed corn and cotton planter that has an "improved mechanism for transmitting motion from the drive-wheel to the seed-disk; to so construct said mechanism as to operate only when the planter is being advanced and to remain inoperative when being drawn backward; to provide for a change of speed for the seed-disk so as to plant close together or far apart as may be desired; and to provide a new and improved hood or protector for the gear connection between the drive-wheel and the power-transmitting mechanism, which hood may be readily cast and will preserve the mechanism at this point against the deleterious actions of dust and other gritty matter that would otherwise find its way therein" (lines 11-26).

Patent for improvements in cotton conveying and cleaning apparatus by using the combination of “a rearwardly-open feeder and a conveyer in position to receive cotton discharge at the rear of the feeder” (lines 103-105), as a result when a conveyer bring “cotton to the feeder, it would provide a branch in position to take up the cotton delivered by the conveyer” (lines 106-108) thus preventing undue accumulation of excess cotton and continuous movement of the cotton in all the parts. Patent for a new and improved cradle. This design "has for its object to provide a hanging cradle suspended from its [frame] . . . being arranged in such a manner whereby the cradle is capable of being moved . . . in an easy, uniform, and steady motion without the danger of tilting over" (lines 8-16). It consists in "[a] swinging cradle comprising the folding end bars, the cross-bar having a depressed portion and end projections forming the pivotal axes for the bars, the catches pivoted to the end bars and adapted to engage the depressed part of the bar . . . and the spring-suspensions" (lines 12-18).
Patent for a cultivator "in which all of the plow shanks will be adjustable to or from the center line of the frame in order that the cultivator may be adapted for working different kinds of plants" (lines 19-23). It is laterally adjustable, and the tongue is vertically adjustable.
