Patent for an apparatus for protecting electrical circuits, and is an improvement on a previous patent (No. 537,932) issued to the inventor. This patent consists of "an electrical circuit, an alarm or indicator, a continuously-operating signal-transmitter at the protected structure operating to affect or influence the alarm or indicator, and a second or duplicate continuously-operating signal-transmitter located at the watchman's station, operating in unison with the first-named signal-transmitter to affect the alarm or indicator equally and oppositely as regards the first-named transmitter, whereby a signal is sounded or an alarm given only when the two transmitters are out of unison or when one is changed, varied, or interfered with in an unauthorized manner" (lines 72-86).
Patent for a washer-scrubber that cleans gas from "tarry matter, ammonia, sulphureted hydrogen, carbonic acid and other impurities" (lines 14-16). The machine divides gas into streams, sprays it with washing liquor, spreads it over reticulated and perforated plates.
Patent for a new and improved plow. This design consists, "with the plow-stock provided with a staple near the lower end of the standard, having an opening formed with a series of parallel sides, and a staple on the beam . . . consisting of a series of bails of the fender-plate rigidly secured to the rod, the lower end of said rod being formed in cross-section of a series of parallel sides, said end adapted to fit and be adjusted in said staple, the upper end of the rod being adapted to be adjusted in any one of the bails of the staple" (lines 7-18).
Patent for an inexpensive, simple, and durable automatic electric alarm that allows people in house or hotel rooms, mines, ships, shops, etc. to signal for another person. The alarm is wired to a clock so it can be programmed to go off at a certain time.
Patent for an automatic electric alarm meant to be hooked up to an automatic dry-pipe sprinkler system, and protects against fire. The alarm goes off when the air in the sprinkler pipes falls below a predetermined level. This invention also signals an alert when there is a leak in the pipes, and is an improvement on the circuit-wires for similar alarms.
Patent for a new and useful improvement in baking, cooking, and heating furnaces. This invention "consists in the mechanism and peculiar arrangements of parts, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings and particularly pointed out in the claims" (line 13-16).
Patent for a simple and efficient baling-press that has an improved press-box and plunger-operating power. The connections between the power and the plunger will be lighter and the feed-opening of the press-box will be closed automatically. The machine has a continuously-rotating operating wheel that allows for an easier way to engage and disengage the pitman.
Patent for a simple and durable brace for heel-sweeps. The wings of the sweep will not close, and "that portion of the sweep through which the heel-bolt passes will be materially strengthened" (lines 14-16). It also braces sweeps whatever their size, and all the brace's parts are adjustable.
Patent for an "attachment to the pressure-foot of sewing machines to carry a tinsel or braid in proper position relative to the needle" (lines 15-17) to ensure the tinsel or braid is fully attached to the desired outline on the cloth. Patent includes instructions and illustrations.
Patent for a brake lever that is locked by an arc-shaped ratchet-bar. There is "a pawl loosely mounted on the rear side of said lever and bearing against said side when the brake is set, said pawl being spring-actuated to move parallel with said side and project beyond the same and contact radially with the ratchet-teeth between said yoke" (lines 25-30).
Patent for "a very simple and economically-constructed alarm mechanically connected with windows and doors of a house or a room and adapted to be sounded by a raising or opening of the same, and at the same time to strike a light or illuminate the surroundings (lines 10-15).
Patent for certain new and useful improvements in "a burial device adapted particularly for use as a cemetery hearse and also for depositing the casket in the grave" (line 12 - 15).
Patent for an improvement in car couplings "whereby the pin-support is operated not by the links but by the impact of the cars themselves and of a yielding link" (lines 55-58).
Patent for a car-coupling that has a "hollow draw-head provided with a horizontal chamber, a vertical pin-hole near the forward end of said chamber, and a slot in the lower part of said draw-head opening into said chamber, of a sliding latch mounted in said chamber and provided with a lip projecting beyond the outer end of said latch and curved downward as shown, and with a groove on the lower side of said latch, of a pivoted arm engaging in said groove, and a weight integral with said arm and wholly inclosed within said slot and adapted to move said sliding latch forward beneath the lower end of the pin when the latter is raised" (lines 5-18). A coupling pin is mounted in the pin-hole.
Patent for a car coupling that consists of a draw head with two separable jaws, a hand wheel mounted on the car, pitmen connected to the wheel and the jaws, springs pressing the jaws together, and a shaft that has a crank arm.
Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the draw-head provided with the hole through its under side and the vertical guide-grooves in its exterior sides, of the stirrup sliding in said grooves and provided with a tongue at its lower and hooks at its upper parts, and a lifting-device—such as a rod or bar—adapted to engage with the upper part of the stirrup for raising it in the said external guide-grooves and causing the said tongue to raise the coupling-link in the draw-head" (lines 4-14).
Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "is to make a car-coupler in which the link shall cause the pin to drop within it, which can be coupled or uncoupled from the side or top of cars without danger to the brake[people], and which is provided with means for lifting the link of cars with lower draw-heads" (lines 11-17).
Patent for a chain steamer that has an improved means of propulsion with a uniform speed despite a changing current. It does not allow the boat to laterally deflect. It is especially meant to be used with tow boats that travel on fast-moving, shallow streams. It can be used to move ferry boats across fast-moving rivers as well.
Patent for a new and improved clamp for wire fences. This design "is to make a device by which the horizontal rails of a wire fence may be conveniently fastened to the vertical stay-wires" (lines 12-15). It "consist[s] of the metallic disk or plate with the curved cross-groove and prongs to hold the horizontal rail and the perpendicular stay-wire, and the key" (lines 69-73).
Patent for a clothes pounder "which will inclose a body of air and expel the same when it is brought down upon the clothes forcing water through the clothes and filling with water an upper chamber, and which when lifted from the clothes will release a body of water at the top of the pounder and cause water to pass through the clothes" (lines 12-19).
Patent for a bracket to "strengthen the car-sills, and, furthermore, to provide means whereby the worn sills may be removed and replaced in a ready and convenient manner." (Lines 15-18) Includes instructions and illustrations.
Patent for a combined halter and weaning muzzle, "the halter being adapted for use independently of the muzzle and the latter being detachably connected to the halter" (lines 17-19). The halter is "the combination of a chin-strap and nose-band made in one piece and a weaning nose-band" (lines 18-20).

It is inserted into a woman's vagina and is used to deliver medication "and to stimulate the genitals to a healthy and normal action both mechanically and electrically" (lines 11-13). The device is worn without discomfort and can be worn while pregnant.
Patent for a "combined rake and portable baling-press, the objects in view being to provide a machine of the above class of comparatively cheap and simple construction and adapted to rake, elevate, deliver, pack, and bale hay and to apply the binding wires to the bales as formed in one continuous operation" (lines 8-15).

Patent for a compound that is meant to remove grease, oil, paint, and similar things from delicate cloth. It is composed of gasoline, chloroform, sulfuric ether, alcohol, spirits of ammonia, powdered borax, powdered carbonate of soda, and saltpeter in lumps.
Patent for an improved railroad construction that consists of "an all metallic railroad which will not be very expensive, will be so strong that an accident is practically impossible, and which may be very rapidly laid" (lines 11-14).
Patent for improvements in convertible mops and brushes by using a “combination of the fountain-handle, the bail/frame secured thereto and provided with a rubber strip at its lower edge, and the mop secured to the bail/frame.” (Lines 3-7, p.2) Illustration is included.
Patent for improvements in corn-planters and fertilizer-distributers is to combine the two into one machine by dividing the hopper into two compartments; one for fertilizing material and the other for corn-seeds. Patent for a simple and effective cotton chopper that leaves the plants in bunches that is easily operated and uses a reciprocating motion to rotate the blades and chop the stalks.
Patent for a new and improved cotton cleaner and condenser. This design "is to produce a cheap and simple machine of this class which is adapted for use in connection with a cotton-gin and which will rapidly separate the dirt from the cotton and will also condense the cotton, so that it may be easily handled and baled" (lines 10-16). It consists in "[t]he combination of the case or frame having an inlet and its lower end and a hinged downward-curved hood at its upper end with the endless carrier mounted in the said case or frame with its higher end within the curved hood" (lines 47-52).
Patent for a cotton-cleaning and bat-forming apparatus that prepares cotton for compression into bales. The apparatus is meant to increase the value of the cotton it processes, and do so in an efficient and inexpensive manner. The amount of compression doubles the number of pounds of cotton one can fit into a bale. The chute does not let air out of the apparatus while cotton is being cleaned, and the air-pressure in the cleaner-condenser does not restrict the cotton's movement into the cleaner.
Patent for a cotton-gin that "has for its object to provide means for operating upon or permitting lint cotton, wool and other fibrous material to be ginned from a roll by means of saws as is commonly done in working seed cotton without injury to the mechanism" (lines 12-17).
Patent for a simple, inexpensive, and efficient cotton loading and weighing device for wagons. It can be easily put onto or removed from any wagon. This invention has a unique way of "clamping-loop or wire support by means of which the main inclined beam or support of the device is firmly and securely upheld and braced with relation to the tail-gate of a wagon with which said clamping frame or loop is adapted to engage" (lines 25-31).
