This design consists in "the ring provided with slots, the apertured plate, the cutters inserted in the slots, the set-screws adapted to hold the cutters in the slots, and the follower . . . arranged to force the nut through between the cutters, and means for supporting the cutters in the position of use" (lines 72-80).
