[Clipping from Japan: Sports team global tour]

Description: Newspaper clipping from Japan from the Bob Kap collection from December 1967. The newspaper clipping reports of a sports team arriving in Japan and will match with a Japanese sports team as part of their global tour. The clipping includes a photograph of American athletes posing in front of an airplane and waving their hats.

[Medal from game in Japan]

Description: Photographs of a badge received in Japan from the Bob Kap Collection, held by UNT Special Collections. In the first photo the front of the badge is visible. It has the US and Japanese flags at the top and two figures playing soccer beneath them. In the second photo the back of the badge is visible. At the top is Japanese writing followed by English that reads "Soccer Friendly Match, 1967.12.26, Nagai Stadium". It is a silver color with aging areas around the edges.

Description: A) Dress of blue nylon knit with clouds and airplane motif, and with "Hanae Mori" signature in the print. Full length, with round neck, gathered at yoke. Neckline is trimmed with three cords of same fabric and trailing ends forming a tie at the center front. Long sleeves are gathered at 1-1/2" cuffs, which close with large covered snap. [U.S. Army Men Talking Through Train Window]

[Japanese Garden Entrance Gate]

Description: Photograph of the entrance gate to the Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The gate resembles traditional Japanese entry gates and has tall wooden doors, a upper level with a fenced balcony and shoji screens, and a tiled pagoda-like roof. Banners hang from the balcony's fences and are posted in front of the gate, reading "WELCOME", "KONNICHIWA", and "good day" in Japanese. The entry gate is flanked on both ends with walls.

Description: Dress of bright green silk chiffon printed with multicolor shapes and with all-over scattered sequins and beading. The printed design includes circles, flowers, and fluid lines and triangles in shades of pink, yellow, blue, orange, and violet. Description: Photograph of Zenji Abe aboard the IJN Akagi en route to Pearl Harbor. He is wearing A pilot jumpsuit, belt, cap and goggles, and boots.
