The only things left standing are the outer walls of the building since they were made of brick while the roof and insides were made of wood; cadets had tried using artillery and ropes to bring down the building.

Description: Patch from the Bryan, Texas fire department. The shield-shaped patch has a black background with red and gold edging. "Bryan Fire Dept." is written in gold across the top and bottom of the patch. A Florian Cross in the center of the patch has golden points connected by a red circle. "Texas" is written in the lower point. A grey bird flies in front of the top point which has an American and a Texas flag projecting upward. The center of the patch bears a silver star surrounded by a golden laurel.
