Cotton-Press.

Description: Patent for a cotton press that has a stationary plate and a steam or hydraulic powered plate and produces a continuous folded bat. This invention combines "advantages of the quick but not extremely powerful pressure of the ordinary steam press, and the powerful but slow pressure of the hydraulic press" (lines 14-17).

Blind-Stop.

Description: Patent for a simple, inexpensive blind stop that adjusts and locks "the slats of window blinds in any position desired for the purpose of regulating the light, and to prevent the rattling and wear and tear on the slats, and to lock the slats so that they cannot be opened from the outside at all" (lines 8-13). It is easy to operate and does not use screws.

Coin Holder of Package.

Description: Patent for improvements in coin holders or packages by using three metallic strips, A, B, and C; the end of strips A and B are bent at right angles to the body portions of coins of a particular denomination. Strip C is “pivoted at its ends to the ends of the strips A and B at their point of attachment and adapted to be turned upon its pivots, so as to embrace the edges of the coins contained in the holder.” (Lines 85-89) Illustration is included.
