City Hall

Description: Postcard with a colorized image of City Hall in Taylor Texas, viewed from a corer to show the front and one side. It is a two-story building with classic-style architecture and a tower above the entrance. Correspondence on the back says: "Taylor Sept. 34 - 1915. Dear Laura! I'm now in Taylor I came home two weeks agoe [sic] was in Round Rock too but you was not there. I'm been [...] on the country and came home today best regards from Mrs. Sandstrom"

Description: "Official souvenir" color postcard depicting the Raleigh Court at the Jamestown Exposition in 1907. There is a lake in the foreground with many boats on it, walkways lined with lamp posts along the water, and numerous red buildings in the background with landscaping and fountains. Correspondence on the card reads,"This looks well on a card, but in reality it is bum, in big letters. It is addressed to Miss Rosa Bassano, S. Mill St., Paris, Texas and postmarked Norfolk, Va on Sept 22, 1907.

Description: Postcard from a man named Edward to George Pendexter with a note saying: "These are the first pictures I have been able to get since leaving home. Hope they suit you." The photograph on the reverse side shows the hook and ladder company of the Waukesha Fire Department in Waukesha, Wisconsin; this company is made up of eight firemen. The horse-drawn wagon in this photo is carrying a load of ladders in the back, along with fire helmets and various hooks.
